Everything you need to know about our TV mounting services — from pricing and process to wall types and warranty.
We specialize exclusively in TV mounting and installation. Our services include: wall mounting for TVs of all sizes (32"–85"+), soundbar mounting and setup, in-wall cable concealment, fireplace/above-mantel installations, outdoor TV mounting, and mounting on all wall types including drywall, brick, concrete, and tile. We also offer mount selection guidance if you're not sure which type you need.
Yes, absolutely. NJ Mount Masters is fully licensed and carries comprehensive liability insurance. Your home and your peace of mind are protected throughout every installation. Many of our customers specifically choose us because we're properly insured — unlike some independent handymen offering TV mounting as a side service.
We're based in South Plainfield and serve all of Central New Jersey. Our primary service area includes South Plainfield, Edison, Piscataway, New Brunswick, Bridgewater, Metuchen, Plainfield, Woodbridge, Dunellen, Highland Park, Sayreville, Iselin, Colonia, Fanwood, Scotch Plains, Westfield, Franklin Township, Somerville, and surrounding communities. Not sure if we cover your town? Give us a call — we likely do!
We've been professionally mounting TVs in Central NJ for over 12 years. In that time, we've completed more than 1,500 installations — from simple bedroom mounts to complex home theater setups. Most of our new customers come from referrals, which speaks to the quality of our work.
Yes! We stand behind every installation with a satisfaction guarantee. If anything isn't right with your mount, we'll come back and make it right — no charge. We're not happy unless you're happy, and our reputation depends on every single job being done correctly.
Our pricing starts at $149 for a basic wall mount installation (TV only, standard drywall). Our Premium package (mount + in-wall cable concealment) starts at $249, and our Full Setup package (complete home theater with soundbar) starts at $399. These are starting prices — the final quote depends on your TV size, wall type, mount selection, and any additional services like in-wall wiring. Every quote is upfront and transparent with no hidden fees.
Yes — we include a free flat tilt mount with every professional installation. If you prefer a full-motion mount or have a specific mount in mind, we can install yours or provide a premium option for an additional cost. Either way, you'll know exactly what you're paying before we start.
Yes, you're welcome to supply your own mount. We'll inspect it to make sure it's compatible with your TV size and weight, and that all hardware is included. Installation pricing is the same whether you use our mount or yours.
We accept cash, Cash App, Venmo, and Zelle. No cards. Payment is due upon completion of the installation, once you're fully satisfied with the work.
No hidden fees. Your quote includes travel within our Central NJ service area. If you're at the outer edge of our range, we'll let you know before booking — but we'll never surprise you with an extra charge after the work is done.
A standard TV mount takes 45–60 minutes. More complex setups like full-motion mounts over a fireplace, soundbar integration, or in-wall cable concealment may take 90 minutes to 2 hours. We'll give you a time estimate upfront before we begin so you know exactly what to expect.
Not much — we handle nearly everything! Just clear any fragile items from the area around the TV and the wall where it'll be mounted. If you have the TV still in its box, that's fine — we'll unbox it. Make sure there's a clear path to the installation area, and have your WiFi password ready if we're setting up smart TV features. We bring all tools, hardware, drop cloths, and cleanup supplies.
Absolutely — and we take it seriously. We lay down drop cloths before drilling, vacuum all drywall dust during and after the installation, remove all packaging and debris, and wipe down surfaces. When we leave, the only evidence we were there is a perfectly mounted TV. We treat your home like our own.
Absolutely. Before we start, we'll clear a safe working area around the installation spot — moving couches, tables, or entertainment centers as needed. We use protective floor coverings and drop cloths to keep your space clean, and everything goes back exactly where it was when we're done.
Yes! Once your TV is securely mounted, we'll connect your devices (cable box, streaming stick, gaming console, soundbar), tidy up the cables, and make sure everything powers on and works properly. We'll also help you connect to WiFi and sign into your streaming apps if needed. Basic setup is included with every installation.
In-wall cable concealment is one of our most popular add-ons — and for good reason. We install cable pass-through kits that route your HDMI, power, and audio cables inside the wall for a completely clean, wire-free look. This is included in our Premium and Full Setup packages, or can be added to any basic installation. Note: by code, the TV's power cord cannot be run inside the wall — we install a recessed outlet behind the TV to handle power safely and to code.
Yes — we mount on drywall, plaster, brick, concrete, stone, tile, and metal studs. Each wall type requires different hardware and techniques, and we carry the right anchors, bits, and fasteners for every situation. If you're unsure what type of wall you have, we'll identify it during our initial assessment and use the appropriate mounting method.
No problem — we mount on all wall types! We use specialized masonry anchors for concrete and brick, and diamond-tipped drill bits for tile to prevent cracking. Just let us know your wall type when you book, and we'll bring the right hardware. These installations take a bit longer than standard drywall, but the result is equally secure.
Yes — but only when anchored into the wall studs, which is exactly what we do. We never mount a TV using drywall anchors alone. We use a stud finder to locate the wood studs behind your drywall, then drive heavy-duty lag bolts directly into at least two studs. This creates a connection that can support far more weight than any TV. For metal stud applications, we use specialized toggle bolts rated for the load.
Yes, and we do it often. Above-fireplace mounting is one of our specialties. We'll first check the heat output above your mantel to make sure it's safe for your TV. For most modern gas and electric fireplaces, it's completely fine. We highly recommend a pull-down full-motion mount for fireplace installations — it lets you lower the TV to a comfortable viewing height when watching, then push it back up when you're done. For brick or stone fireplace surrounds, we use masonry anchors for a secure hold.
We don't leave you with holes in the wall! Our installation includes drilling only where needed, and we clean up all dust and debris. If you're replacing an old mount, we can patch small holes from the previous installation at no extra charge. Large drywall repairs are outside our scope, but we'll let you know before we start.
Yes, same-day service is often available if you contact us early in the day — typically before 10 AM. We keep slots open for same-day bookings because we know sometimes you just want it done. Call us at (732) 586-2221 to check today's availability.
We're available Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM. We also offer limited evening appointments by special arrangement. Sunday installations may be available upon request — just ask when you call.
We can often accommodate next-day or even same-day bookings. For weekend appointments (especially Saturdays), we recommend booking a few days in advance as those slots fill up quickly. There's no penalty for booking ahead — if you know you want it done, securing your slot early guarantees your preferred time.
Life happens — we get it. Just give us a call as soon as you know you need to change your appointment. We ask for at least 2 hours' notice for cancellations so we can offer the slot to another customer, but we're flexible and never charge cancellation fees. We'll work with you to find a new time that fits your schedule.
Yes, we need someone 18 or older to be present during the installation. We'll need access to the room, and we like to confirm the mounting height and position with you before we drill. The good news: it's usually less than an hour, and you can go about your day while we work.
